Plot Summary: Maya Kendrick awakens in a transparent pod alongside Derrick Pierce, feeling relaxed despite their post-apocalyptic surroundings. They engage in a friendly conversation, during which Derrick expresses his anxiety about meeting his quota for impregnating women, a requirement for remaining in the project. Maya attempts to reassure him that stress won't help, as rumors suggest they cannot remove men under 65 from the program. Suddenly, their wristbands signal the start of their insemination process.
