TECHNICAL NOTES
All of the scenes in this pack were ripped from their DVDs. All interlaced scenes, I de-interlaced with QTGMC. I inverse telecined the scenes that were telecined, with TITVC and then processed the scene with QTGMC in progressive mode to eliminate any remaining jaggies and aliasing. If a scene was progressive I checked if any deinterlacing was done properly, if not then I processed the scene with QTGMC in progressive mode. All scenes were then encoded with x264 for the video, qaac for the audio and then muxed into a matroska (.mkv) container.

Some scenes were filmed in 16:9 widescreen, but instead of just encoding the scene anamorphically onto the DVD, some producers made the poor choice to letterbox the scene, i.e. putting black borders on the top and bottom of the frame, leading to a loss of vertical resolution. In such cases I cropped the black borders.

Sometimes a video suffers from chromashift, i.e. the channels for luma and color are offset by a few pixels. In such cases I corrected the chromashift.
