Barely Legal is made up five stories. All the scenes are hot because of the kissing, masturbating, oral, anal, and you name it's here.
On the plus side all the girls look very pretty and really look like they are enjoying themselves. If you are a fan of the magazine or this is your favorite category of video then this DVD is a must have.
On the negative side the girl in the last story is very hot I wish it had been longer.
Extras. There is a short behind the scenes look of a photo shot with a hot model named Jessiree. I hope she comes out in a future DVD.

Initial Expectations: This is Hustler&s longest running series, which gives me a lot of hope for it. Of course, having Cheyenne Silver in it doesn&t hurt anything either.
Initial Reaction: It&s the best barely legal / schoolgirl type feature I&ve seen.
Who Should Watch It : Fans of natural and younger (but legal) girls
Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting implants, heavy plot, and poor production values
Audio /Video Quality: The audio is very clear and well balanced. There&s a few minor blemishes with the audio, but they&re few and far between. The video is also pretty good. There&s a bit of grain to it, almost as if it was shot on film and treated very good. I&m guessing that the feature was shot on video and then treated with filters to give it this effect since it&s very even throughout the video. The lighting is also very even throughout the scenes, although it is a bit dark in some scenes and it does change from scene to scene. Being a vignette type feature, I don&t have a problem with this because it does help them to stand apart pretty well.
Music: The music has a bit of a rock feel, and rests very quietly in the background. It fits each scene pretty well, and helps them out.
Menus: The menus are very nicely done, especially for a DVD that&s been out for approaching three years. The main menu has some nice animation, and the chapter menu lets you decide on a scene based on a small clip for each scene and a title.
The Feature: Barely Legal is a collection of unrelated sex scenes. Each scene has a title screen to let you know who directed it, followed by a nice little setup sequence that&s narrated by one of the girls in the scene. From there on, it&s hot sex with eighteen year old girls.
Lindsey, a decent looking dirty blonde who&s breasts look like they are just starting to appear, starts things off with Tristan in Clive McLean&s After School. She heads back to her apartment after a little masturbation break on her bike, and quickly heads inside to lose some clothes and play with herself a little more. She&s discovered by her stepbrother Tristan, who watches her through the window and starts rubbing his cock. He only wants to watch, but she wants him to fuck her. Blair does a great job showing emotions throughout the scene, including being a little nervous when Jodi appears and then warming up to her as Jodi works on her. This helps it become a great scene to end things with, and once again shows Clive McLean has one heck of a great eye for smut.
Barely Legal 2 is a fun and well done fuck flick. The setups are all nicely done and start things out with a fun feeling. Yeah, there are some normally touchy and taboo subjects such as pissing, incest, and older men doing women half their age such as the babysitter or cheerleaders, but they&re never done in a mean-spirited way. In each case, the girls are in control, and normally instigate the action. Cheyenne Silver does a great job here, and turns in one of the best scenes here. Although it&s still a good scene, I think Teri Starr and Kristi&s taking on of Joel Lawrence was probably the weakest, but only because of the style of the camera work. It&s hard to single out any one scene as the best or worst, because every scene here is well done. Most of the camera work is also well done, and I&m impressed enough with Clive McLean&s direction that I know I&m going to have to see more of him. Barely Legal 2 is definitely worth checking out if you&re a fan of barely legal girls!

Extras: The slide show lasts about two minutes with about six seconds per nice looking snapshot. There&s also web links, a trailer for Barely Legal, and a profile of Clive McLean that lasts about five minutes. Clive talks about being a pain in the ass director and wanting things just right, and how he shoots a scene compared to shooting sporting clays. It&s an interesting profile, and a very good extra.

Overall: Currently, most of the Barely Legal series can be found online for between $19 and $25, with many stores offering it near the low end. Although you can find barely legal style movies a lot cheaper than this, I think this is the best DVD in that genre I&ve found so far. The scenes are all fun and hot, and the girls are cute. There&s a nice extra or two, and the technical aspects are also pretty good.
Note to Hustler: If the rest of this series is close to as good as this one, I can see why it&s been around so long!

There are five scenes to this DVD. I will rate the scenes on a scale of 1 to 5 (Hot!).
In first two scenes each girl has a peeing scene.
Scene 1 - Girl/Boy scene. This scene has some good footage of her riding her bicycle with glimpses of her panties. This scene is rated 4.5.
Scene 2 - Girl(Cheyenne Silver)/Boy scene. This was the best scene of the movie because Cheyenne is the best looking of the women in this movie. Her role in this scene is a babysitter and the guy is supposedly the father of the children she is babysitting. This scene is rated a 4.
Scene 3 - Girl/Girl scene. This scene was to short with very little heat. This scene is rated a 2.5.
Scene 4 - Girl/Girl/Boy scene. The girls are dressed as cheerleaders. I give the girls credit for acting enthused about the sex. This scene is rated a 3.5.
Scene 5 - Girl/Girl/Boy Scene. This scene is rated a 3.
Overall, this movie did not provide much heat. The two best scenes are the first two. There is a slide show and a movie preview. I would expect more extras from Hustler. I have seen Barely Legal # 1 and it is a better movie than this. I bought this DVD based upon the high expectations #1 provided. I was disappointed with #2.

My overall view:
The film is seriuosly lacking in acting ability or should I say directorial ability. Fellow Briton Mr. Clive Mclean is obviously a stalwart of the adult industry and perhaps because of that it seems like there is a lack of effort in making this episode of Barely Legal.
For example, the plot revolving around the stepbrother and stepsister or stepfather and stepdaughter fuck scenes are just so lame. They were used incessantly in Barely Legal 1 and there surely must be another million plots they could try and use! The voice overs, where the girls are explaining how they lost their 'virginity' are pathetic. There is no emotion at all - as the topical joke goes "e;Why did the woman hang up on Al Gore?"e; "e;Because she thought it was a dial tone!"e; This is very relevant here, as the girls talk in such a monotonous way.
Again, you expect more from Hustler. With all their resources, they should be able to cast girls that at least look like virgins! Or if thats too tasking, they should forget the "e;i lost my virginity' scenes and just make it an 18-19 year old scene having sex!

Scene 1: 'Afterschool' (boy-girl scene) The girl Linsdey Tristen in the scene does look like a schoolgirl. The scene also includes the customary pee scene of the girl relieving herself. But it's the old 'I lost my virginity to my stepbrother' malarkee! Although she looks like a schoolgirl, she doesnt act or look like a virgin. When a girl has her cherry popped, it hurts - but there is no sign of even a whimper from Linsdey. Plus, her lower lips certainly dont look like a virgins! Of course, it must be almost impossible to cast a girl with 'virgin-like pussy lips' in the adult industry, as they wouldnt be in the business if they weren't seasoned shag artists! But this could be overlooked if the performers and the director worked on acting abilities. For example to get a more accurate idea of how one loses their virginity watch 'Nineteen college Girls Volume 28 - Scene - The Computer - starring Robbie and Jezaree.' Scene rating = 3 above average
Scene 2: Babysitter (boy-girl scene) - Cheyenne Silver is one of my favourite actresses and the scene is perhaps the best acted scene in the movie, as the nanny is taken over the car bonnet. and you have to love the knee length white socks! Scene rating = 3.5 good
Scene 3: Photoplay (girl-girl scene) - The girls are pretty average if not below average. Plus there is no continuity in the scene and just whe I was getting into the scene, I get a view of either gia or anna's spotty back! uggh! I am a total dedicated fan of lesbian scenes, hence it has to be pretty bad for me not to watch it again! Scene rating = 2 below average.
Scene 4: 'Ticket to ride' (boy-girl-girl scene) - Its the same old 'cheerleaders visit house' scene. Since the cheerleaders are seasoned pro Terri starr and another performer who looks even older than Terri, it just doesnt come together! Plus, they are all shy and demure at first, but as soon as he says 'I showed you mine, show me yours!' the girls not only show but they start pounding their pussies with two fingers! hardly virgin material! scene rating = 2 below average
Scene 5: "e;LA, here I come"e; (boy-girl-girl scene) - I think they chose Blair as the virgin in this scene and Jane as the seasoned girlfriend. It should have been the other way around! Again, serious lack of acting ability; once Blair 'the virgin' gets the guys pants off shes sucking like a pro and when she gets her 'first' fuck, there's no hint of a virgin anywhere! Extras = 2 below average, if you have Barely Legal 1, its the exact same extras apart from the slideshow. In this day and age, they should have better extras.
FINAL THOugHTS (like Jerry Springer!) - Dont buy it. Rent it. The girls are just average and the acting and plot are not! Barely legal 1 is a better bet.

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is clear, well balanced, and free of background noises, but some of it is dubbed. The video has a soft feel to it that helps give it an artistic feel, and occasionally mixes in a bit of slow motion, which of course means that the audio is dubbed there. The lighting is extremely well done, and varies among the scenes to help give them a bit more of an artistic feel.
Music: The music has the typical porn funk and is very nicely balanced with the rest of the audio.
Menus: The menus are fairly simple, but nicely done for when the DVD was made. The main menu has a little animation blended with a still, and the chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the title for the scene.
The Feature: Barely Legal is a collection of unrelated sex scenes. Each scene has a title screen to let you know who directed it, followed by a nice little setup sequence that&s narrated by one of the girls in the scene. From there on, it&s hot sex with eighteen year old girls.

It reminds me a lot of the look of many classic adult films that have found their way onto DVD. The lighting is nicely done, and brings in a few realistic shadows without overpowering them.

Barely Legal 4 is a nicely done vignette feature. The scenes all have the same theme, that of young girls, but they vary the subject enough to make each scene feel unique as well as keeping them having a fun feel. Granted, It&s pretty clear that more than a couple of the girls are well over eighteen, but they still look young and know how to play it. There are a few faults to the feature, but for a barely legal themed movie, it does the genre right!
Extras: The slide show lasts about two minutes with about six seconds per nice looking snapshot. There&s also web links, a trailer for Hustler XXX, and a ten minute behind the scenes featurette. The featurette focuses mostly on the scene between Adriana Sage, Voodoo, and Joey Ray, but there&s also a bit of the other scenes. You get to see a little of the scenes being shot, but most of the featurette focuses on the cast interacting with each other and director Clive McLean. It&s a very nice behind the scenes featurette, especially considering the length of it.

Bought this movie because I'm a huge Adriana Sage fan...luckily there were other scenes that were almost as good as hers...

The First Word: You'd be hard pressed to find a better director for shooting fresh, young talent than Clive McLean or a better teen series than Barely Legal.
What's It About?: Each of the 5 scenes in this volume is a vignette with a short setup and a lot of sex. They begin with the trademark "e;Dear Barely Legal"e; letter read by the girl. It's total B.S. in the cheesy and over-the-top Barely Legal sort of way (as anyone who has seen the newsstand mag will confirm), but it's not obnoxiously so, and you quickly forget about the setup as these 18-year olds shed their clothes. Here's a quick look:
Jassie & Randy - She's an assistant stylist, he's supposed to be a famous teen rock star. At a "e;music video shoot,"e; "e;Richie Rock"e; goes back with Jassie into the dressing room for a wardrobe change. As she pulls down his jeans to exchange them for a pair of leather pants, she exposes his cock, and naturally decides to suck on it. After about a minute of sucking his limp dick, this thin, long-haired brunette, strips down to her jeans, leaving her perfect A-cups exposed. This seems to do the trick for Richie as his wood begins to firm up. After a few minutes of getting blown, he begins to lap at her nicely shaven pussy lips as she's standing then continues to spend quite a bit of time eating her out. Of course, they do the deed in most of the standard positions, but it's not that impressive, either because of the mechanical screwing action or our rock star's skinny dick. Either way, the scene finishes with a pathetic, oozing facial from his mostly flaccid member.
Victoria Style & Nick East - Next up, Victoria, a Latina with slightly saggy (but natural!) boobs and a pierced clit, comes to an artist studio to be a nude model. Sabrine Maui & Don Fernando - Sabrine plays a Vietnamese-American who returns to Saigon to visit her aunt. While having lunch in a restaurant in a mall that looks suspiciously like any number of Asian strip malls in the Los Angeles area, she's picked up by an American who says she reminds him of his best friend's wife. They return to her aunt's place, which is basically a mattress on the floor surrounded by oriental screen and lanterns. He goes on about how she looks like this woman, but she matter-of-factly tells him that she doesn't care and that she just wants to fuck him. And so she does. I'm sure her slim figure, long black hair, small breasts, and large brown nipples will meet with the approval of those who have an Asian fetish. The highlights of this scene are a brief but hot moment of reverse cowgirl cunnilingus and some great penetration shots combined with Don's expert thrusting and hip gyrations -- it's infinitely better than the very artificial action in the first two scenes. The vignette finishes up with several minutes of anal before Don pops directly on her tongue.
Alexia & Tony Pounds - This young couple are looking for a place to fuck, but aren't having much luck: their parents' houses are out, and his Beemer is too small (must be rough). So they settle on a rooftop of a warehouse overlooking Hollywood. Alexia, another Barely Legal fashion doll with her thin build, small natural tits, and shaved pussy, is obviously versed in the sexual arts as she begins with a nice hands-free blowjob. Unfortunately, due to some poor editing, we are treated to a seeming endless sequence of him trying to jack himself off that really messes up an otherwise great scene.
Nadia, Swan Hope, & Bunny Luv - Just like a no-hitter going into the ninth that is broken up, we almost had a video without any girl-girl. But the no-no is blown by a three-way lesbian romp. Bunny, who was in the first volume of Barely Legal, comes into the Barely Legal shipping warehouse, where Nadia and Swan are packing VHS tapes into boxes. They recognize her as the box pretty girl, and start asking her questions about what it was like to be in a porno. The topic of girls comes up, and of course, Swan hasn't ever been with a girl (but she's curious). That's all the invitation Bunny needs to begin showing them the ways of lesbian love. These three beauties manage to hit the major buttons for guys: girls kissing, talking dirty, sucking tits, caressing boobs, and eating one another. Did I mention that these girls are beautiful? From Nadia's exotic look to Bunny's fabulous tits & brunette hairdo to Swan's fair skin and red hair, they are a nice ending to this video.
What I liked: Girl Next Door, almost jail bait: While other series try to claim they have the youngest women allowed by law, this series really brings that home. The girls (and some of the guys) look like they knocked on Hustler's door at 12:01 a.m. on their 18th birthday. They also are painfully attractive and are all-natural. It's almost unreal to see them getting fucked, since they don't have the typical porn star aura about them. It's fresh talent like this that keep guys like me from rolling my eyes when I see another "e;just eighteen"e; type of video starring girls who have been in the business for several years already.
He knows how to shoot hardcore: I've already said that Clive McLean knows what he's doing. If you've ever seen a copy of Hustler magazine, you've definitely seen his work. In addition to getting just the right lighting, angles, and positioning, he manages to make people look good while doing things that are very bad. As he says in the short documentary on the DVD, he tries to avoid "e;sagging tummies"e; and other unattractive bits. You'll never see a bored look or have to endure another guy's hairy, sweaty ass. And you're assured of plenty of definitely X-rated action in lots of varieties. Clive is to porn as Ben & Jerry is to ice cream: fun, creative, and full of fresh ingredients.
What I didn't like: Reading, not acting: I know that the "e;Dear Barely Legal,"e; letters are bullshit, but I'd get a lot more erotic mileage from the setups if the girls didn't sound like they were standing up in front of class reading passages from a novel. It sounds like they are reading directly from a script -- I'm not looking for Shakespearean actors here, but is it too much to ask to say the lines with some feeling? Saying "e;I wanted to fuck him"e; without feeling and in a monotone voice really says the opposite...
Just because you're in a porno doesn't mean you know how to fuck: Maybe it's because they are young and new to the business, but just because it's Barely Legal doesn't excuse limp wood, mechanical fucking, or having to jack off for minutes to cum. Unless the idea is to capture the nervousness of youth, the editor is falling asleep in the edit bay to allow minutes of junk filler into this otherwise very good video.
DVD Extras: The main value-add to this DVD is a short profile of director and Hustler photographer Clive McLean. In it we get to see his directorial style behind the scenes and some of his hobbies. Even though I wish it were longer, it's an entertaining few minutes and offers a rare glimpse into what a hardcore magazine photoshoot looks like. I also found myself wanting to know more about Clive, such as his background and why he does what he does.
A/V Quality: The video quality is outstanding and stands up very well even under close scrutiny. No jaggies, pixellation, or master tape glitches that normally plague DVDs of this type. The brightness may be a little on the dark side, as evidenced by the darker than normal vidcaps to the left, but it's not that bad really. Audio is likewise pretty good, although the timing and choice of music are sometimes not ideal -- the porno beat tends to start and stop randomly, and there are often large gaps of only production sound. Finally, the volume level drops to the floor during the Alexia and Tony scene to the point that if you don't crank the volume, you're likely to miss the entire "e;Dear Barely Legal..."e; voiceover intro.
The Last Word: With three good scenes and two so-so scenes, I think this is a pretty good installment of the Barely Legal series. Again, Clive McLean is pretty much god when it comes to taking pretty young things and shooting them in hardcore in a classy, "e;magazine"e; way. Just as other directors have their signature look, it's not hard to identify Clive's work. For the most part, it's fun to watch, and if you're into seeing truly 18-year olds bump and grind with other 18-year olds, it can be an incredible turn-on. This isn't the best volume in the series, but it's well worth the purchase price for a glimpse at this crop of newbies and for the nice lesbo scene with the ever-delicious Bunny Luv.

Barely Legal is one of my favorite series, not for the taboo aspect, but because it captures fresh talent in Clive McLean's unique, comforting photographic style. While there are a lot of imitators, this is the series that defines the genre. But even so, the formula doesn't always work, and this volume is a study in contrast between McLean's good scenes and his merely average ones.
Out of the five scenes, I'd say that two are genuine masturbatory material and the other three are typical Barely Legal filler material. The first good scene stars Kiwi Sweet, a Southern ebony cutie with a nice ass (baby's truly got back!) and a large, firm rack. As an aspiring actress, she goes to the home of a Hollywood director (Julian, who has more ink now than the Sunday comics) and within seconds is sucking his famously huge member. It's a good interracial scene since there's plenty of eye candy, from BJ with eye contact to the huge penetrations to the brief-but-oh-so-soft titfuck. It slows down a little while she rides him on the couch, but toward the end, the intensity picks up and the two seem to be genuinely enjoying themselves. Unfortunately, the facial turned out to be mostly a dud, only a few pearls on that necklace.
The other scene I enjoyed was the "e;my girlfriend from the Midwest comes to California"e; girl-girl fantasy that seems to be a popular setup throughout the barely legal genre. Not only does the outdoor, sunbathing encounter show off the teens' big, natural tits, but it's a fairly enthusiastic matchup too. No lipstick pussy eating here; there's some serious, spread-wide-open activity going on. The use of toys is effective without going overboard and turning it into an obvious Doc Johnson exhibition. Despite the fakey ending orgasms, it's great fantasy material to see mutual masturbation and tribadism in addition to the standard girl-girl stuff.
As for the filler scenes, they begin with a housekeeper-husband fantasy with pert-breasted blonde and an aging Bobby V. that has the ingredients (location, natural body, big dick, good positions) of a great scene. But it just isn't visually exciting to me and the facial is disappointing (it sounds like Bobby enjoys it, but there's very little, um, volume). Next, being a fan of Jenna Haze, I was really looking forward to her scene. But it turns out to be a fairly standard fuck & suck scene without much heat (or lube--it looks like there's little or no moisture going on), at least until the end when the excitement picks up a with a nice doggy and a good facial. The wet blankets of the scene? No anal (no anal in the whole video for that matter) and a self-induced pop-shot on Jenna's face. Finally, Hungarian blonde Lolita plays a bartender who gets it on with customer Carlos--a pretty standard and uninteresting Europorn scene, with only her glasses wearing providing a minor rise.
While Hustler gets a pat on the back for a good behind-the-scenes featurette included on the disc (even though it's not BTS for Barely Legal 20), they get a "e;what the fuck were you guys thinking?"e; when it comes to the mandatory, unskippable phone sex and penis enlargement pills ads before you can play anything. Even though the folks at Larry Flint Publishing have since discontinued the practice, that's two minutes and twenty seconds you'll never get back each and every time you want to play this particular DVD.
Overall, I think this volume is a good rental candidate--none of the sex scenes are bad and a couple of them are pretty entertaining. It may not be a permanent addition to your collection, but between the two solid scenes and the behind-the-scenes featurette, you have at least 30 minutes of great trademark Clive McLean/Barely Legal material and another hour of watchable yet unremarkable footage of porn newcomers.
