RELEASE NOTES
UHD disc demuxed with DGdemux, rest with eac3to. No problem found.
VIDEO: Only available UHD BD at the time of this remux was the GER disc so it was chosen. Initial 6.006 seconds were cut on I-frame using MKVToolNix to make a good sync point with USA audio (see below). Cut is more or less seamless and you would not notice it without 1:1 comparison.
NOTE: some parts of the movie are cropped on 1080p source, but are wider on 2160p though I did not find any difference in terms of cut points and scenes.
Made comps for audio
AUDIO - DTS-HD MA 5.1: Both discs are shipped with DTS-HD MA 5.1, but GER is only 16-bit and suffers from heavy compression and significant dithering. USA Track is 24-bit and has a significantly bigger dynamic range and nicer presentation. USA track was therefore chosen. Mixes are the same apart from LionsGate intro logo on USA disc, that had to be trimmed in order to make the best seamless transition to GER source. GER video had to be also cut for seamless transition (see above).
Applied negative 22272ms delay to USA BD DTS-HD MA 24-bit audio with eac3to to avoid mkv container delay and added to the mix.
Commentary track was from USA BD was checked for dual mono, trimmed by 22,27 seconds and added to the mix.
Subtitles were collected from both BD releases. USA BD subtitles were tonemapped for HDR presentation.
Additional subtitles from iTunes have been checked one by one, because every region had different FPS and different intro length. Proper framerate and delay were added using SubEdit and synced to video/audio.
AMZN EN (SDH) subtitles were collected. From these non-SDH version was made and added to final REMUX.
EN forced subtitles for hardcoded german subs at 00:05:05,889 “6 WEEKS EARLIER” were added.
Collected chapters from BD. Sadly no named chapters. Checked and corrected landing on I-frame.
Hope I didn't forget anything in final release? .
