For those of you who have been hiding under a rock for the last month or so, Faithless stars Kelli McCarty, a former Miss USA and day time soaps star of “Passions”. Now, other celebrities have been embarrassed by leaked home made movies (Paris Hilton and Chyna) and there have been porn stars who have managed to become at least semi-respectable in main stream media (Jenna Jameson and Stormy Daniels). What we have is something unique, Kelli McCarty, on her own free will, expressing herself sexually for the camera, career and critics be damned.
The story is common as far as porn and mainstream movies go, a young man (Voodoo) spends some time with his g/f&s (Daisy Marie) family, only to enter into a torrid love affair with the step mother (Kelli McCarty), which leads everyone down a path of destruction. The acting surpassed even my expectation, but with Kelli, Steven St. Croix perhaps I shouldn&t be too surprised. Hershel Savage also provided good support in a non-sex role (I&ve been a fan of Hershel ever since I saw him in 8 to 4 give his secretaries some “Dictation”)

The sex here was also pretty damn hot. Kelli is in two scenes, one with Voodoo and the other with Steven. She is obviously a very sexual individual, and enjoys what she does. There was something different about her scenes, you could tell she was used to acting and was comfortable in front of the camera. Her moves with her clothes off seemed somehow more real, with her body not moving mechanically through pre set positions that she has done 100 thousand times. Her body withers and squirms and does all sorts of things that you don&t get much in porn these days.

Daisy Marie and Voodoo have a nice romp in the woods next to a stream with a water fall in the background. Cute and sexy, but nothing too draining.

Jennifer Dark is in one and a half scenes (a quick bj outside and a full on sex scene with anal in a garage). While good, she didn&t necessarily fit with the movie. With her trash talking vulgar mouth and European accent, she needs to be dubbed or in a gonzo movie. Paul shoots his movies like soap operas, with some quality action and camera work. Jennifer just seemed out of place here and anything but two young teenagers getting it on in the dark.

The other scene involved Kelly Leigh and Steven having a clandestine romp in a motel room. This is also an intense scene, where both performers are taking out their personal demons on each other. They do it in the tub, shower, and on the bed, anal, vaginal, you name the passion, they do it. However, Kelly isn&t necessarily looking her best here.

In the end, a pretty damn good movie. At first I was expecting something more of a gimmick than anything else, but Paul Thomas and Kelli McCarty surprised me. This is a great couples film and one worth watching without the misses around, as long as you like Paul&s camera work, as the Soap Opera style isn&t necessarily everyone&s cup of tea.
