Ah, 1972. The freedom-defending police action in Vietnam was still swallowing American boys whole and shitting out millions of Vietnamese corpses. A monstrous crime which America has still never redressed - much less acknowledged (though, to be fair, they were surely all commie corpses). Tricky Dick Nixon was relaxing in Whitey's House safe in the knowledge that he was surely gonna get away with the whole thing, and a fresh-faced young girl from the great state of Texas traveled to Miami to show the world an entirely new way to suck the same old dick.
Yes. Deep Throat. The Classic Collector's Edition. Somebody else already said all that needs to be said about this movie - and they still won't shaddap about it. Nor, evidently, shall I.....
This version has the original uncut movie and three bonus selections: The Days Of Deep Throat - an interview with Eric Edwards, An interview with director Gerard Damiano, and a short video gallery of Linda Lovelace pix (which I wasn't able to get a screenshot set of - sometimes MPC just hates a video if it's too short). Since I'm sort of an amateur archivist, as an Extry-Special Bonus Dealie I decided to freshen this old chestnut up with the inclusion of the excellent documentary 'Inside Deep Throat' to give you young whippersnappers and talley-whackers a bit of a look into why this particular movie exploded quite as it did. And by the way while I'm thinking about it - remember Dolly Sharp - that one kinda severe-lookin' chick who played the part of Linda's friend? Well, there's a very interesting story about her (but, like Linda's story, really sad in the end) which you can read aboot over at The Rialto Report.
