In Pussy Talk (1975), originally released in France as Le Sexe qui parle, director Claude Mulot delivers a surreal and provocative adult fantasy that blends eroticism with absurdist comedy. The story follows Jolle, a young woman whose vagina inexplicably begins to speak, recounting tales of her past sexual exploits and revealing secrets that disrupt her relationships and social standing. As Jolle grapples with her newfound anatomical narrator, flashbacks reveal a series of taboo encounters, including seductions of authority figures and moments of sexual rebellion. The film is loosely inspired by Denis Diderot&s satirical novel Les Bijoux Indiscrets, and it uses dreamlike sequences, voiceover narration, and dark humor to explore themes of sexual autonomy, repression, and identity. Widely considered a cult classic, Pussy Talk was one of the first hardcore features to gain international attention from France, and it spawned a sequel in 1977.
