York Madison has completed his book on sexual con-men and is searching for a publisher to gain financial success. He is initially apprehensive when he discovers that the publisher is a woman, fearing the subject matter may be distasteful to her. However, he is pleasantly surprised by her interest in his work, which focuses on the sexual exploitation of women by men. During their meeting, the publisher makes a surprising advance towards Madison, leading to an explicit encounter in her office. This unexpected turn raises both the stakes of his publishing hopes and the intensity of the situation. Following this event, Madison finds himself back on the streets looking for a new publisher, leaving the outcome of the encounter ambiguous.
