Summary: The film provides a glimpse into the life of the infamous Roman Emperor Caligula. It portrays his extravagant lifestyle, including moments with his favorite horse, Incitatus, and interactions with female slaves. In a notable senate meeting, Caligula insults the senators and jokingly threatens to appoint his horse to a position of power.
The arrival of German princess Brunhilde offers a distraction from his mundane existence, as do visits from Greek friends Demetrius and Jason. Their time together leads to a ballgame that transitions into an orgy, followed by a visit to an Egyptian brothel. Despite these escapades, Caligula often finds himself feeling lonely, but is consoled by Brunhilde and his loyal slaves. This film is not the first portrayal of Caligula by the director, who previously created "Caligula: The Untold Story" shortly after another famous adaptation.
