Kaylani Lei, Steven St. Croix Description: One of the best comedy films to date from writer-director Jonathan Morgan, this Wicked vehicle for Kaylani Lei rises above the usual 'okay' nature of prolific Morgan's decades-long output for the label. It concerns speed-dating, as best pal Brianna Love (in a fine supporting performance) tries to get Lei out of her funk after breaking up with boyfriend Tommy Gunn (seen in flashback cheating on Kaylani with his blonde secretary Kissy Kapri) by attending Busy Bees Dating service sessions. When not dwelling on the obligatory XXX sex scenes, movie dwells on the humor of eccentric folk speed-dating. An array of Adult performers (and directors Michael Raven and Jim Enright) are genuinely amusing, with poor Kaylani alternately the straight man to the comedy or fantasizing erotic/comic encounters with the succession of weirdos. Brianna also speed dates, finding her dream man in Alex Sanders, the porn veteran playing an ex-con biker who banks Ms. Love in a laundry room. Lei gets some sex of her own in a dream sequence with Voodoo, very funny with his French accent as a smooth-talking lothario. Happy ending has Kaylani finally hooking up with Mr. Right: Steven St. Croix, Morgan's old teammate in a series of VHS megahits directed by Jim Enright.
