For the first time ever, Director John Amero offers commentary and insight into the making of one of his films, Blonde Ambition, a film conceived to be to be one of the most elaborate X films ever made.
The Ameros Brother's Blonde Ambition is a glorious tribute to the MGM musicals of yesteryear. If you loved Deep Throat and Singin' in the Rain , you're gonna love Blonde Ambition. The plot revolves around the Kane Sisters, one of the worst Vaudeville acts in show business, plucked from Coyote Fang, Wyoming and thrust into New York's High Society. While seeking their fortune and fame they wind up in a porn remake of Gone With The Wind, become embroiled in the disappearance of a priceless brooch and find themselves being hunted by authorities leading to a havoc-filled finale involving the girls posing as drag queens in a Greenwich Village gay bar.
Blonde Ambition is the ultimate sexual extravaganza from John and Lem Amero, producers of early hardcore classics like Bacchanale and Every Inch A Lady . The movie stars Suzy Mandel and Dory Devon in the lead roles of Sugar and Candy Kane along with Eric Edwards, R. Bolla, George Payne and a cameo from Jamie Gillis. With song and dance numbers and elaborate set and costume designs, Blonde Ambition plays much like the screwball musical comedies to which it pays homage. It was to be the Amero Brother's hardcore swansong. They would return to making softcore comedies, having met the challenge of mixing skillfull filmmaking, high production values and hardcore sex wrapped in a musical comedy.
